Yes, that's right! It is 55, sunny and the snow is melting! YAY!!
So as for other news, I see that Elm Street Quilts has something new going on. The Elm Street Quilts Bargello QAL! It sounds really interesting, I've seen some beautiful Bargello quilts at shows but never attempted to make one. They are starting out with a small one (two sizes available) and I thought it would be right up my alley to try my first one.
Here is a picture of what we will be making.
So while I was at the store this morning I picked up some fresh material for mine.
Can't wait to get started. Come join the fun, visit Elm Street Quilts and see for yourself.
Then for my Rainbow quilt I have started making yellow pinwheels. This project is going on at So Scrappy.
So that's my news, going now to enjoy the weather!
What a fun way to learn and make a Bargello quilt. It is one of those quilts I would like to make one day. Yours will be popping with color! Pinwheels have always been one of my favorite blocks. Yours are very colorful and will make an wonderful scrappy quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think small will be good for a first. The pinwheels are part of a rainbow quilt.
DeleteI love those rainbow pinwheels. That is going to be a very fun quilt
ReplyDeleteThank you, I've had fun working on it.
DeleteBargellos are great, my first quilt was a bargello! Gotta love something that's easy to do but looks super-fiddly! :) The pinwheels look lovely too - so bright and fresh.
