Happy 2016 Everyone!
I was so surprised when I opened my present from my husband on Christmas Day. He got me a Pandora bracelet! He is so sweet, I didn't even have it on my Christmas list. So now I can look forward to collecting charms for it on special occasions.
But now that the Christmas season is over it is back to the routine. I took down the tree today and put away the decorations.
I have started on another quilt! It is a HST quilt and I have them all cut and sewn. They are stacked in rows ready for sewing which I will start on tomorrow.
We are having company for dinner tomorrow night. I have a small turkey and sweet potatoes that I will serve, along with the green bean casserole. uhm, yum.
Next week is going to be busy. I have a Dr. appt on Monday, Yoga on Tuesday, quilting with the girls on Wednesday, and a massage on Thursday. Busy, busy busy!
So I was thinking that it would be fun to have a 'Give Away' to start off the new year. It will be 3 - half yard pieces of material.
It will run through Saturday, January 9. I will draw a winner and post it Sunday the 10th. So, good luck everyone!
It is so much fun to receive an unexpected surprise at Christmas -- your husband did a good job! It sounds like you are having a good start to the New Year -- my mother always said that "busy hands are happy hands." :)

ReplyDeleteTerry, you are one busy lady! I have a Pandora bracelet too and received FOUR charms this past Christmas...I was so surprised! Those little charms are expensive, but each one has special meaning. One tip for your lovely bracelet: don't let it near perfume when you apply it. The bracelet itself will discolor. Mine went an ugly dull gray, so I took it to the jeweler who polished it up like new! He said perfume or lotions will do that. I hope you love yours! I love those fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip. I'll be careful with it. Can't wait to add more charms.

ReplyDeleteLovely quilts! I'm working on quilts 365 as well, but instead of circles I'm making orange peel shapes. I'm finding it to be a pleasant way to start my morning. Thanks for the giveaway.
