It's Cold!

I left Monday morning for the doctors.  It was 17 degrees in the garage!  Once on the open road it was actually 12 degrees. Brrrrr.  Tuesday was no better.  I left for my yoga class and it was 13.  Whew, today was a little better, it actually got up to around 30.  Felt like a heat wave.

My Granddaughter had a good time when she went out to her boyfriends place to visit.  She was surprised that they had horses and she even got to go riding.  A very excited girl she was.

I have made a little progress on my "365" squares challenge that is going on at Quilty Folk.  This is fun and easy.  I make up a few at a time and sew the circles on while I watch TV.

I decided to do the windmill square for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge at soscrappy.

This months color is blue and purple and I still have to make more squares.

The girls got together at my friend Marilyn's for some sewing and some talking today. Marilyn made some yummy little carrot cake cupcakes to munch on.  They hit the spot.

I had put some stuffed green peppers on to cook in the crock pot and they were ready when I got home.  Hubby really enjoyed them.

  2. Hi Terry, First I want to thank you for stopping by Allthingzsewn, I thought about the 365 but had to get back in touch with Audrey and back out. I took on too much with an local guild and dresses for little girls if Africa. I really enjoy both of these and I was afraid I would begin to dread the 365 and not finish. But I'll enjoy watching you as you progress with your quilt.
Where do you live to be getting these temperatures?

  4. I live in northern Michigan,USA. We had an unusually warm start to winter and them BAM! I hope I do not get tired of them before the year ends. I know in the summer I will be outside a lot so I am making extra ones now. I also belong to a quilt guild which is a lot of fun. I have heard of the dresses for Africa, Such a good cause. Thank you for joining my site.

  5. I love your first Quilty 365 circles, and the graphic prints you've chosen, what a delightful quilt these will make! So glad you've joined the group, it's inspiring to see what everyone is doing with Audrey's idea.

    1. So far I am having fun with them. Did a few more while watching TV tonight. I see you started way before I did. I think it will make an unusual quilt.

  6. Its so interesting to see the differences in all our circles!
Some are making them frames like you for a fussy cut picture, some are appliqueing, some reverse applique... great fun to see and then try ourselves too!
