The snow is melting

Yay!  It is a bright sun shiney day, the snow is melting and it's warm.  I am so glad.

The last couple of days I have been finishing up a quilt I started a long time ago, back when people were doing the barn quilts.  I used all scraps for these blocks and finally put some borders and backing on it and got it quilted up.  Sure glad that thing is done.  It wasn't my favorite and I had procrastinated enough.

 BACK

So last night I started a new project.  I'm using a pack of 10" squares and making these blocks.

Another pretty quick project.

Well, almost time to get out the St. Patrick's Day decorations.  Where does the time get to anyway?  I don't do much for this holiday, but I do have a St. Patrick's Day quilt that I will get out soon.  I also have a green and white table top that I may get out.  How about you?  Do you decorate for St. Patty's Day?

Saint Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day
Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

Today I am linking up with Moose Stash Quilting.  She has news of a new Blog Hop.

  1. I got my Valentine's decorations put away. There weren't very many so it didn't take long. I don't have "any" St. Patrick's Day decorations. I did the Ancestry.com DNA test and it says I'm 4% Irish. Perhaps I'll celebrate with more enthusiasm this year.

    1. I haven't done my ancestry either but with a last name (maiden) like Shannon I have got to have some Irish blood. One of these days I will get it done. That is quite a big quilt you are working on.

  2. LADY!! TERRY that barn quilt is to DIE for.. so gorgeous!! That is such great work. I used to decorate for every single occasion but now that I am living in such a small place I only do the seasons. Not much room to spare around here to store stuff. This warm weather is making me THINK spring is here...but I know cold will be back and slap us silly!! Boo.. take care

    1. Thank you so much, I appreciate that. I know my house is not real big either. Without kids or grandkids the decorating doesn't seem the same. I do put out some for the holidays, but not as much.
