My Grandson's quilt

I have been busy lately, with who knows what!  Just busy! Time gets by you know and then I wonder what I've been doing.  I know I have made more circles for my 365. and I have been working on my grandson's quilt, and I made a couple of Easter Egg table toppers.

Any way, here is a picture, or two, of the quilt I am making my grandson.

Have to put the border on it yet. Here is a picture of one of the table toppers I made for Easter.

Never too early to get started, and actually Easter is coming early this year!

Road Trips and a Finished Quilt

So last week the girls and I took a road trip about an hour south of here to Farwell.  There is a store there that is great for women. It has TONS of material, patterns and sewing things galore.  There is also a lot of fun decorating items to look at and a small craft section.  They also have a section for men with all sorts of tools and gadgets, so if you have stopped in with your hubby he has something to look at while you shop your heart out!  I purchased some material for my Grandson's music quilt.  (He's a guitarist)  Really a great place.

So I started my Grandson's quilt and found I needed a little more material.  Wouldn't you know it!  So I called my friend Mary to see if she wanted to go back to Farwell and she said yes.  She needed some material to add to a panel she had.  So we were off again!  We got what we needed and I also found 3 pieces of scrap from the scrap basket that I can use for my 365 circles.  Good trip.  We finished it off with lunch before coming home.

I finally finished my churn dash quilt.  Here is a photo.

Tomorrow I am going over to Marilyn's house for our get together for talking, sewing, and eating! lol  Always a nice time together with the girls.

Wow, what a beautiful Horse!  Just had to share.

I'm Going Green!

All of the Valentine things have been put away, and I'm bringing out the green for St. Patrick's Day.  I have to admit I have some Irish blood in me. lol  Any way, here are some pics to show what I've been doing.  Oh, and these are the roses my hubby gave me for Valentine's Day.

Who let that little leprechaun in here?

So, on to my churn dash quilt, I have been quilting it and I just finished the border.  So now all I have to do is trim and bind!

As for the weather, it has turned a little bit better.  It is 27 right now.  A couple of days ago it was -7.  Suppose to be near 40 in a couple of days.

Last Saturday I went to the show with my girlfriend Mary and saw 13 Hours.  It was a good movie, a little sad, but good.

 Take care everyone, stay warm.

Valentine's Day Weekend

Valentine's Day happens to also be our anniversary.   My hubby is going to be gone for the weekend on a trip to Wisconsin.  He did, however, get my present early!  I got a charm for my Pandora bracelet.  I'm in love with it, and with him.

He is leaving Friday morning, and so am I.  I will be going with a few girlfriends down to Mt. Pleasant for the day.  There are a couple of quilt shops we are going to visit, plus Joanne's Fabrics and Kohl's.  Going to be a fun day for sure, can't wait to see what we find.  One of the quilt shops just opened so we are excited to be checking that one out.

I just put the binding on my St. Patrick's Day table runner, and have table toppers done to send to the daughter-in-laws.

That's really too funny.  She just had to get in there!

So, now I am ready to put the border on my churn dash quilt.  I bought a yellow material for the border, (hubby's suggestion).

With that I will go get to work!  Time's a wastin!

It's Ground Hog Day!

Yay!  Phil did not see his shadow, so we will have an early Spring!
I'm all for that!

I whipped up a top for a St. Patrick's Day table runner last night.

I want to make something similar for my 2 daughter-in-laws.

I also finished sewing my churn dash blocks together.  Now I have to decide what to do about the border.  My hubby says something yellow but I don't have enough of that in my stash.  I'll look at it for awhile, something will come to me.

It's Quilty 365 Time

 February, the month of love!
Hi all,

It's time again to show our progress of the '365'.  So without much ado, here are the photos of my progress.

I have a total of 44 completely done, with about 12 ready to sew.  I started just after the 1st of the year.  I usually do a few at a time because I know there are days I won't get to work on them.  I am linking to Quilty Folk so you can see what others are doing.

I have also been working on my Churn Dash quilt.  I'm now sewing the squares together.

And here is a photo of my Grandson.  He lives out in CA. so I don't get to see him all the time.  He likes the Minions, hence the hat.
